Blurry trees

Another picture from Maquoketa Caves State Park. I just keep getting blurrier and blurrier. I like it though.

I swear, these keep looking more and more like paintings. Great techniques!

Tim,

This is fantastic! It almost looks like earthen fabric. Are these all post production effects, or are getting this straight from the lens?

I may not be an expert, but I think you're onto something here. I'd love to see a whole series of these with varying color schemes and subjects.

Thanks for sharing!

I was going for the painting look, so Chad, I'm glad that's what they look like to you.

Johnny, these are not post-production effects. It's pretty much all done in-camera. I do the "normal" stuff in Photoshop--crop a little, sharpen just a touch, adjust the color just a touch, etc--but all the blur and other funkiness is done in-camera.

Thanks for looking.

Nice stuff Tim. It's funny how we all have come up with just a little different technique. What's funnier is that I've been taking mine with a $1300 Canon L lens with Vibration Reduction!
Get out there, only a few good fall days left!
