Work project

I try to keep work stuff out of this blog, but with the help of a colleague, I just put together an audio slideshow from the Iowa-Iowa State football game. You can check it out here.

I'd be curious to know what anyone thinks of it.

Brings back good memories! I had forgotten about the key jingling (was that at kickoffs?) but remember lots of good times in the student section. The only thing I don't remember? The alma mater. Never learned it, couldn't even hum it. When I was a student and worked with women's athletics, they tried to start a tradition of singing the alma mater after the women's BB games, but it didn't seem to be a big hit. It's not a very catchy tune--I would have been happier to hear the fight song or, even better, the beer song. :-) I know the weather kind of messed with your plans for the slide show... maybe the audio was one of the "victims"? Overall I loved it and would gladly watch more!

I liked it!

I really like the fact that the audio is not what you'd expect. Very cool if you ask me. Love the drumsticks and megaphones shots.

GREAT JOB! Now do some more. Would love to see (and hear) some marching band stuff, with drum cadences and stirring fight songs, etc.
Our High School marching band got to perform on the field at half-time at an OU-Missouri game (WAY back in the day!). We played our HS fight song ("Hold that tiger. . ")and it was a thrill to have the OU fans stand up and cheer along with us!
The pictures were great - captured the enthusiasm and excitement of a big game that any football fan can identify with! Good work!
