I braved the mosquitos to shoot some wildflowers tonight. Here's the first...

Just today I was contemplating adding some echinacea to my garden and this striking photo seals the deal.

I've heard this called "cone flower" and I've always really liked it because it looks kind of "old fashioned." I, too, am inspired to find a place for some of it in our back yard. I think it will look nice against a fence. And if it's classified as a "wild flower," surely it can be grown successfully by even those of us who are "green-thumb challenged!"
