By the mailbox

Here's one I'd forgotten I'd taken. It's from earlier this spring. This stuff grows by our mailbox. I have no idea what it is...

Ooooh - I love that one, Tim! Isn't Mother Nature just wonderful? The other photos are great, too. I'll have to show Lillian the ones with the butterflies--she is fascinated with them.

It's called creeping phlox. But there's nothing creepy about it (in the scary-ugly sense). It does take over the flower bed, which is not a bad thing when it looks like that. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing. And thanks to Mom and Dad for giving us a transplant!

How about "exquisite" to describe the phlox? I like the way you filled the frame with the blossoms.
