Grand Canyon

Continuing the wedding theme, sort of, is this entry from our honeymoon. We spent a couple days at the Grand Canyon. The pictures don't show just how cold and windy it was when they were taken. Some day, if I get up the courage, I'll put up the picture I took of Amy while I was waiting for some light before sunrise. She does not look happy! But it was worth her whining to get these...

It's been eight years, and she still puts up with me taking pictures all the time.

Hiking

Sorry to let the elephant linger so long without an update, but I really like that picture...and I was sick.

Chad, the owner of this fine blog, to the rescue. He sent me these pictures I shot 13 or 14 years ago while doing an internship in his office. It was the best job I'll probably ever have. After seeing these pictures, it makes me want to dig up some of my other pictures from that summer.

These are both from a hike to the top of Harney Peak in the Black Hills. The guy in the bottom photo is me, and it was probably taken by the person in the top photo. I might have done the tripod and self-timer thing though. I remember doing a bit of that during that internship.

Elephant dump

This is one of my favorite pictures even though it's old. It just works for me. The poop right by the exit sign. The guy catching it in the big can framed in the elephant's tail.

Thinking of spring

I wish spring would get here. I've got the itch to shoot some more of these flowers...

Where's Maggie?

I love the way our dog Maggie blends so perfectly with the sheets. Without her nose and eyes, I'm not sure I'd even see her...



...until she licks her lips...
